'Armageddon' - Tournament For Heroes
Those users who have already played the "Doomsday" tournament will be familiar with the mechanics of the new event.However, we would like to highlight one important difference: this time your army will not be commanded by the captains but the hero!
The "Armageddon" tournament allows you to level up the hero much faster.This event is a great opportunity to gain experience points, which increase the hero's level, and such characteristics as Leadership, Dominance, and Authority grow along with it. These indicators directly determine the number of troops that he leads. The larger your army is, the faster and more successful it will be while defeating an enemy, whether it is a monster squad or other player’s troops.What is the good of this tournament? Is it so profitable to participate in such events? To answer to these questions, we decided to talk to one of the users and find out what he thinks about the Easter event, which became the progenitor of the new tournament:“The Hero lags behind the Captains at the beginning of the game. The development of the City will slow down if you do not improve the Hero’s level. I started to play in March. Like a half of my Clan, my Aydae rocketed to level 100 while the Hero was still below 50. If you can still attack a monster, there is no way to fight against players due to not having enough Leadership; enemy armies are simply larger.
I was going to level up a Hero on rare monster squads.The resources had been harvested, and I had agreed with my Clanmates that they would help. Finally, I began to farm, spending Silver to do so. Having checked with dozens of people I knew, I found some huge farming guides, which I spent 2 days figuring out. I noted the results of each battle and collected statistics about the consumption of resources.
During the Easter event, the admins added an epic monster for leveling up our Heroes.To try it out, I attacked it just like a regular epic squad. There was a special Mercenary offer with four types of units. The Mercenaries greatly sped up the process, bearing in mind that I decided to buy x2 packs. Also, I crafted a simple gear for my guardsmen in order to enhance the effect. So, in just one event I unlocked a new branch of Talents, leveled up my Hero to level 105, and there was still hiring to do for the next event.”

What’s been fixed?
- Activation the Shield of peace will no longer be a problem. Your city will suddenly not appear to be unprotected during an important event.
- Talents will be displayed correctly in the information about other player when you check them while playing on mobile app.
- ‘Send’ button will be brought back into mobile interfaces of clan announcements.
- Reinforcements will be displayed in the march window no matter how numerous they are.
- Selected captain will not be reseted while you explore Rare crypts.

The popular ‘Treasure Hunt’ tournament was improved after reviewing audience feedback and re-launched for another month. Now it is easier to get extra points for submitting Cursed Treasures. Winners who have reached the Top-100 leaderboards of each Division will receive additional rewards for all members of their Clan.

Today we would like to highlight some important aspects of the upcoming game update.
TOURNAMENTS
Let’s start with one of the most anticipated improvements: ‘Ruthless Slaughter’ will be brought back to its former place in the tournament schedule. It’s time to cry out loud the word ‘Hooray!’ :)
That’s not all! The list of tournaments will be updated with a new event called ‘Authority Rush’ where for reviving defeated Mercenaries you will be earning special tournament currency and able to spend it on tournament points and additional rewards. This event will be held for a limited period of time so do not hesitate!
COMMUNITY PAGE
It is important to create a user-friendly environment on the Community page. During the upcoming update, there will be implemented a new feature to our official website which will allow us to publish news and important announcements in several languages. This is supposed to make our publications easier to understand.
WEBGL
As some of you might have already known, Flash player on the technology of which our so-called ‘old’ version of the game is based, will no longer be supported in browsers. That is why our game will be updated with a new and more technologically advanced engine. Our ‘new’ version of the game is already available.
To make the transfer to this version more smoother and comfortable, we have prepared some fixes to the bugs that existed there and were found by our Quality Assurance team or reported by players.
FIXED
- Walls in the city no longer have a ridiculous bonus to March speed which was previously displayed in their information window.
- Active bonuses to Valor and Experience points do not affect the size of rewards for completed achievements. Those bonuses were never supposed to work this way since the reward size has a constant value.
- Hero’s talents are displayed in the information window when you check the enemy’s details in the Journal report.
- Enemy’s march from another realm is coloured in appropriate dark red colour.
- Duration of the open portal corresponds to the level of development of the Portal Master and researched technologies.
- Whole complement of reinforcements are displayed in the information of your ally’s city.
- Players’ names written in Cyrillic alphabet are shown in Latin letters in other language versions of the game.
- At the end of a battle with a large number of participants, reverse march process is displayed among the active processes.

Please spare a few moments to check the rules for participation before diving into competition.
• Defeat other players and explore the Treasure hunt crypts to get Cursed treasures.
• Exchange your Cursed treasures in the tournament panel for tournament points.
• The more Cursed treasures you exchange at a time, the more tournament points you will get for each Cursed treasure.
• Each time you get Cursed treasures, a 40 minutes cooldown is triggered before further exchanges are possible.
• One hour before tournament ends, receiving Cursed treasures no longer triggers the cooldown on Cursed treasures exchange.
• Part of the stolen Cursed treasures from other players cities will burn.
• The Shield of Peace cannot be activated while you have an active march in the Treasure hunt crypts or if you have Cursed treasures in the city.
• You can't capture Cursed treasures while Shield of Peace bonus is active.
• At the beginning of the tournament, players are assigned to divisions according to their level.
• The players remain in their divisions until the end of the tournament.
• The best player in every division receives the “Treasure hunter” title.
• Treasure hunter title bonus: +5% chance for whole army to strike two squads, +5% chance to explore crypt twice.

WebGL Open Beta
It is intended as a replacement for Flash-version because outdated Adobe Flash technology will be completely disabled in all modern browsers next year.
There are two requirements to get access:
- One of these browsers: Chrome, Safari, Opera, Firefox.
- At least 4Gb RAM installed to your computer.
If these conditions are met you will be able to launch WebGL-version by pressing a big red button titled 'TRY THE NEW BETA WITH +100% FASTER FPS' at the top of game screen.
Please keep in mind that it is still in development so we will be grateful if you share your feedback and help us to polish it for perfection before official release.

Mercenary Exchange March Limit
Most players enjoy hiring Mercenaries for Silver and competing in 🚢 'Trade Routes' tournament. However we received many requests to rethink time limits for Marches.
Currently it is prohibited to send Captains to Mercenary Exchange if overall March time from player's city exceeds 20 minutes.
Audience feedback is of paramount importance for us that is why development team decided to expand this time limit by 6 times. This will allow everyone to reach Mercenary Exchanges freely and participate in tournament more actively.
Time limit for these specific Marches will be increased ↗️ from 20 to 120 minutes
This will allow to visit Mercenary Exchanges located far from player's own Kingdom.
📆 This change will become effective after upcoming game update which is scheduled for next week.

Fair Random Chances
please let us explain some important moments regarding chances of specific actions during encounters with other players or monsters.
• Side which will deal First hit is always selected randomly (except using Guan Yu avatar while fighting rival player or utilizing Siege engines). This choice is independent for each individual battle.
• Double damage chance is determined for each standalone battle step regardless previous results. It is also possible that Double damage chance may be applied several times in a row because there is no connection to previous battle steps or enemy performance.
• Chance to strike two squads at once is also considered for each battle step individually.
There are several ways to increase these chances by equipping your Hero or Captains with certain items, applying Talents or researching corresponding Technologies.
Investigating activation rate or trying to discover specific patterns are useless due to completely random nature of these events.

FORT IN CONFLAGRATION
Otherwise, you risk losing a clan building.
In case the time of Conflagration in your Fort expired and you didn't succeed in restoration of the clan building, your enemy can attack the destroyed Fort again and renew the Conflagration status.
If you do not rebuild a destroyed clan Fort in 7 days, the clan building is considered to be burnt 🔥 and will be removed from the kingdom map.

How To Enable Adobe Flash
some of you already aware that most web-browsers are gradually discontinue to use Adobe Flash technology which was introduced in 1996.
Some browsers still allows users to run Flash-based projects but Adobe Flash-plugin is blocked by default.
It may be required to modify your browser's Settings in order to start playing web-version of Total Battle.
Recently we added an instruction which is displayed automatically if your Adobe Flash plugin is blocked.
If in-game 'Enable Flash Player' button did not worked for you please check our instruction by opening a link titled 'Click here' below big green button.
You can continue playing Total Battle after these few simple steps:
1. Click the 'Plugin blocked' icon in the top right corner of your browser;
2. Click the 'Manage' button in the pop-up menu;
3. The Flash Settings tab will open, switch “Block sites from running Flash (recommended)' setting to 'Ask First';
4. Click big green 'Enable Flash Player' button again;
5. Click the 'Allow' button in the pop-up on the top left of the browser page;
6. Enjoy playing the game!
Please do not worry because we are almost ready to replace outdated Flash by WebGL-based version of the game.
It will be officially announced and become available as open beta in a few weeks.

DOOMSDAY BASIC RULES
You will have to make certain sacrifices to get them, of course.
We would like to outline some basic aspects of the Doomsday tournament:
- Do not expect to defeat an Epic monster. This is unlikely possible. As you might have noticed, the name of the tournament wasn't chosen by chance.
- Reward is worth fighting. Those who decide to engage in a deadly combat will be awarded with a huge amount of Experience, Valor and Tournament points.
- Players are splitted into Divisions. The more Divisions are, the more winners get their prizes.
- Winners are awarded with unique Titles. The best player in every Division receives the “Immortal” title which gives +25% to Hero leadership. Players ranked 2-100 in every Division receive the “Honored” title which gives +10% to Hero leadership. This bonus increases the amount of troops you can take in a battle.

- Summerfest global event
- Doomsday tournament where you can challenge a unique monster
- Brand new avatar with a bonus which takes effect after a successful scouting. It temporarily blocks the revival of the enemy Hero

Yamato's Bonus
When used properly, Yamato imposes a temporary ban on the revival of the defeated enemy Hero from the Temple.
It is required to successfully scout enemy city to activate this bonus. If enemy scouts will defeat yours during the reconnaissance, then the bonus will not work!
Your opponent will not be able to restore and use the Hero for 20 minutes.
We remind you that the bonus of the defeated Hero will no longer work in the Temple.
🎁 The participants of the contest dedicated to the Yamato's bonus were unable to guess the exact action correctly, but the development team chose several interesting suggestions. Their authors will receive Change avatar items. Rewards will be distributed after the game server launch.

Detailed description of all new features will become available immediately after the server start. Events dedicated to new targets that will appear on the the Kingdoms' maps will launch on official Community page. Dozens of players will have the opportunity to win great rewards.

Defeated Alrick's Bonus
✅ All Talents will remain effective!
Let's review Alrick's bonus as an example:
🕕 All marches to your city when Alrick is dead will take a standard time.
💖 Revive Alrick as soon as possible so that your enemies cannot reach your city quickly. ⚔️
❗️ The time of the march which was sent BEFORE Alrick's resurrection will not be reduced.
Note that Hero's resurrection is not so expensive 💰 in comparison to potential losses.
Thelensia’s Bonus In The Temple
But here is ✨great news✨ for players who are using Thelensia!
You will receive presents 🎁 even if Thelensia was defeated in battle ❌ and appeared in the ⛪️ Temple.
Choose Thelensia as your Hero's avatar to:
🎁 Get gift Chest every 20 hours (check full list of gifts in the avatar changing interface).
🐘 Ride an elephant instead of a horse. Scare your enemies!
Pharaoh's Delegates Bonus
Let's review the example with Pharaoh avatar:
⛔ 'Grey Eminence' Title will stop working as soon as Pharaoh will be defeated in any battle.
💖 Revive Pharaoh from the Temple anytime during voting to get +900% delegates.
♻️ It doesn't matter if Pharaoh was already dead before voting time started.
✅ You can activate the 'Grey Eminence' Title by reviving Hero before voting is ended.
VERY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
While developing avatars' system we decided that Heroes should be useful in a certain place where they located at the moment (with very rare exceptions).
❌ Dead Heroes can't fight or work at all.
❌ So their bonuses must not have any effect too.
However we quickly discovered that something went wrong and avatar's bonuses were active even when defeated Hero was sent into the ⛪ Temple.
Recently our Quality Assurance specialists were able to fix this error along hundreds of other more important problems.
Please be ready that after upcoming update which is scheduled for the next month your avatar's bonus will stop working in the ⛪ Temple.
💖 Simply revive your Hero to activate the bonus again.

'Trade Routes' Basic Rules
please let us remind you some basic rules of 'Trade routes' tournament.
❗️ You don't need any specific Hero avatar or Portals to another Kingdom.
✅ Just click on Mercenary Exchange to choose a Captain and send it to make a purchase.
❗️ March time is limited to 20 minutes.
✅ This is enough to reach the farthest side of any adjacent Kingdom.
❗️ You must find Mercenary Exchange buildings manually.
✅ It is an event with presents for the whole Clan so coordinating with your allies is a great idea and a shortcut to victory.
It's almost 12 hours left. You can still hire many Mercenaries to reinforce your army and reach decent position of the leaderboard.

Gold Ingots Achievement
please note that the Gold Ingots Achievement was changed.
Now Gold Ingots must be sent to the Treasury instead of stealing from other players.
Decision about this changes was made because many players abused existing mechanics and passed ingots to each other without a fight.
Now it's much easier to reach Achievement's goal so the reward for completion has been halved.

Mercenaries For Silver!
we remember the general reaction of audience and the greatest number of reviews about Exchange, that was added a month ago as a temporary experiment.
Carefully studied all the wishes we thoroughly enhanced the Exchange and returned the section “Items” familiar to everyone with the possibility of making purchases for Gold. Understanding that even a modified Exchange causes negative emotions among the majority of players, we decided to completely remove the innovation before the announced date and return the unchanged store in the “Items” section.
After the Exchange was disabled we started getting requests for its restoration. A flurry of harsh criticism was replaced by a stream of suggestions for improvement, which convinced us of the need for such mechanics.
Carefully considered the various options the development team chose as the basis for the updated Exchange the most popular product, which was always available only for real money.
Undoubtedly, even beginners will agree that the Mercenaries make it possible to play comfortably and easily achieve their goals. Therefore, you will be pleasantly surprised when you see the familiar building on the maps of the Kingdom.
New Exchange will offer contracts with the Mercenaries for Silver! To emphasize the cardinal difference from earlier version, the name was changed to Mercenary Exchange.
It’s important to understand that we develop optional addition to the existing methods of acquiring items, and not a replacement for the favorite store in the “Items” section. In the Mercenary Exchange you will find only Mercenaries and only for Silver.
In search of ways to further improvement of the Mercenary Exchange, we had an idea of creating a special tournament. By purchasing contracts of Mercenaries to strengthen their own army, the winners will be able to please all the members of their clan with a Chest with rewards.
Like other global events, a new tournament will be held once a week. Mercenary Exchange will appear on the maps of all Kingdoms only during the tournament.
Details about the Mercenary Exchange and the full rules of the new regular tournament will be published in the next few days.
We remind you that Mercenary Exchange, as it was last time, is added experimentally. Your impressions and tournament activity will help to determine the future of this mechanics.
